It is an absolute legend, it always has been. It took over 50 years to wrestle the recipe out of her, until she felt we were now ready to master the ultimate.
Ingredients
250 grams Flour (Wholemeal wheat is my favourite here)
200 grams Sugar (Raw sugar works well)
200 grams Hazelnut Meal (Almond meal would work too.)
4 Eggs
1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract

Preparation
Mix eggs in a bowl for 2-3 min.
Add suggar and mix until smooth.
Gradually flour, baking powder and hazelnut meal until smooth dough.
Place into box, round or mould form and bake at 175C for about 70 min.
Optional: add brandy flavour, or top with chocolate icing or any other topping to your liking.
